MADEV’s mission is to use media arts as an advocacy tool to educate, inspire, motivate, and encourage every person to embrace their true selves (dignified, creative, free, strong selves) to work for community awareness in Egypt. MADEV believes that media arts empower people towards changes in attitudes and behaviors that ultimately improve their lives.
MADEV has adopted the slogan “Creativity transforms” and chosen the lifecycle of the butterfly as a magical example of transformation from the inside out.
We believe self-development is essential to any growth experience. Working on oneself and developing one’s talents and skills are supportive steps toward personal transformation. This journey of transformation creates each person’s uniqueness and the embracing of their dignity, supporting community development.
Professional Media Training
The Art for Development Association provides training in all aspects of media production, and in the use of media as a development tool. The courses include the following:
Creative Writing - Screenwriting - Sound Engineering (Basic and Advanced) - 3D Animation - Video Editing - Cinematography - Directing (Basic and Advanced) - Acting - Filmmaking - Film Production.
Psychological Support
The Art Development Association offers a training program for personal development and life skills. It builds mental health and provides social empowerment tools that include psychological and social lectures by working on emotional intelligence, developing the ability to discover thinking patterns, correct thinking errors and build healthy relationships followed by support groups and technical tools such as art therapy, drama, theater of the oppressed and story writing.
Training of Trainers (TOT) Programs
The Art for Development Association provides training of trainers to enable facilitators from partner NGOs, individuals and groups to promote their social goals in different developmental sectors such as gender equality, combating early marriage, female genital mutilation, human trafficking, children's rights, and combating stigma of people living with HIV / AIDS, managing the psychosocial stress of divorce, emotional intelligence and basic life skills.
Media Production
The Art for Development Association produces audiovisual materials, which include songs, short and feature films, 2D and 3D animation programs, outreach videos, music videos, and promotional/educational videos.
Developing Media Based Educational Curricula
The Art for Development Association can design and produce educational packages on various societal issues for children, youth, women, and NGOs using media products such as creative learning of children's rights, health, education, gender equality, emotional intelligence, basic life skills, combating human trafficking, managing social and psychological pressures on divorced women, and combating violence against women.

Montage unit sufficient for up to 8 trainees.
2 large training rooms suitable for classes of up to 25 participants.
The Art Development Association also has access to the following facilities:
